Dermal Fillers Tallahassee
Dermal fillers, like Juvederm XC and Juvederm Voluma XC, are injectables made up of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a naturally occurring substance that is responsible for keeping the skin firm, plump, and supple.
As we age, the volume in our faces gradually decreases and can create a sunken-in look that can make you appear older than you are. Voluma® XC instantly adds volume lost to aging in the cheek area and creates contour and a subtle lift.
This minimally invasive revolutionary dermal filler can deliver natural-looking results that last up to two years with optimal treatment.
JUVÉDERM® XC injectable gel is for the injection into areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur to temporarily add volume to the skin, especially around the nose and mouth. Juvederm XC may last from six to nine months.
During your consultation, one of our highly acclaimed plastic surgeons will examine your face and determine which areas could benefit from dermal fillers. They will also determine which Juvederm product is best for your specific needs and desired outcome.
You should also disclose your medical history to the plastic surgeon you have your consultation with, and let them know about any previous treatments or procedures you have had.
Before your treatment, the areas of your face where you will receive your injections will be marked. Then, via a very fine microneedle, the dermal filler will be administered in the targeted areas. Typically, dermal filler injections take less than thirty minutes to complete, making it a quick and easy procedure.
Downtime After Dermal Filler Injections
There is no recovery period after getting dermal fillers. You can resume your normal daily activities after getting injections. You may experience some redness, bruising, swelling, and/or soreness at the injection sites. These mild side effects are normal and will typically dissipate within a few days.
It is important to stay out of the sun after getting dermal filler injections. If you must be in the sunlight, be sure to apply sunscreen with SPF in it, and wear protective clothing, like a hat. If you have any questions about what to do after your treatment, do not hesitate to call our office or ask during your consultation.
Cost of Dermal Fillers
The cost of this treatment depends on multiple factors, like the amount of product used during your treatment, the number of injections you receive, the type of product used, and more.
