Arm Lift in Tallahassee, FL

A frustrating side effect of getting older or losing weight is the development of loose skin. At Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic, we offer arm lift surgery (also called brachioplasty) as a procedure for people who are unable to tone or tighten their arms with diet and exercise alone. Excess skin from the elbow to the shoulder is very typical, particularly for men and women who have lost weight or are advancing in age. An upper arm lift excises this excess, hanging skin, sometimes known as "bat wings." Our board-certified plastic surgeons are very knowledgeable in fat removal and skin tightening techniques and can help you reach your goal look. If you want to learn more about brachioplasty, contact us in Tallahassee, FL to schedule a consultation.

An arm lift is performed by making an incision along the underside of the upper arm, which allows our plastic surgeon to remove excess skin and fat. The extent of the incision depends on the amount of tissue that needs to be removed. After the excess skin and fat are excised, the remaining tissue is tightened, and the skin is repositioned to create a smoother, more toned appearance. In some cases, liposuction may be used in combination with the surgery to remove stubborn fat deposits. The incision is carefully closed with sutures, and you will likely need to wear compression garments to aid in the healing process and reduce swelling.

At Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic, those who receive an arm lift enjoy several benefits from their procedure, including:

  • Improves the look of hanging skin as a result of dramatic weight loss or aging
  • Decreased scraping, tenderness, and inflammation in the chest and arms
  • Improved confidence and enjoyment when buying outfits
  • Appropriate for trouble spots that may be resistant to fitness efforts or dieting

Dr. Rawlings is truly AMAZING! I've had the pleasure of being under his care for several procedures. He is like family to my family. Fifteen years later (I now commute 3 hours from the largest city in Florida), I am still trusting him with all of my cosmetic needs/adjustments. He is very caring, professional and precise!!!!! I love Dr. Rawlings ❤️

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Paredes and the entire team. After undergoing a double mastectomy, the recovery and reconstruction process has been a long journey, and they have been there for me every step of the way. From day one, everyone in the office has been compassionate, attentive, and genuinely caring. They always take the time to listen to my concerns and never make me feel embarrassed or dismissed when I have questions or worries. Instead, they provide reassurance, support, and thoughtful solutions that make a difficult process so much easier.Their kindness, professionalism, and dedication to their patients have meant more to me than words can express. I am incredibly grateful for the care I have received and for the way they have helped me navigate this journey with confidence and peace of mind. I highly recommend Dr. Paredes’ office to anyone looking for a team that truly cares about their patients

A typical recovery time frame should take about two weeks with lots of rest and arm elevation. You'll have to give yourself time to heal. You use your arms for just about everything, so you'll need to ease your way back into your normal activities. A suture removal appointment will be made approximately ten days following surgery. Compression garments should be worn until you are released by our one of our board-certified plastic surgeons. For at least a month (4 – 5 weeks), all exercise should be avoided, with the exception of taking short walks. If you notice uncontrolled bleeding, excessive swelling, hematoma (fluid buildup), signs of infection, loss of feeling in the arms or hands, or unusual scarring, please call Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic for help.

If you're ready to say goodbye to loose, sagging skin and hello to firmer, more toned arms, an arm lift at Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic can help you achieve the smooth, sculpted look you desire. Our board-certified plastic surgeons will guide you through the process, ensuring your comfort and satisfaction every step of the way. Schedule a consultation at our office in Tallahassee, FL today to learn how we can help you transform your arms and boost your confidence!
