Dr. Alfredo A. Paredes Jr. is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic, serving the Tallahassee community since 2003. He is dedicated to excellence in plastic surgery with a highly personalized approach to patient care, believing that exceptional outcomes are achieved through both outstanding surgical results and compassionate support throughout every step of the process.
His focus is primarily on aesthetic surgery, while also maintaining a strong commitment to breast cancer patients and reconstructive care. He serves the entire Southeast region and regularly welcomes patients from across the United States and internationally.
As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Florida State University College of Medicine, he teaches medical students and surgical residents.
Dr. Paredes attended Emory University on a merit scholarship, graduating first in his college class with a degree in biology and receiving the Emory Overall Excellence Award in 1992. As a Woodruff Scholar on full merit scholarship, he earned his medical degree from Emory University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his plastic surgery residency at Emory University, a program recognized for its leadership and innovation in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery
Dr. Paredes specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, with particular expertise in breast surgery, revision breast surgery, and breast reconstruction for patients affected by breast cancer or genetic predisposition to the disease. He is highly experienced in correcting and improving undesired results from surgeries, with a focus on achieving natural-looking, balanced outcomes.
His cosmetic surgery practice also includes body contouring procedures such as tummy tuck and arm lift surgery, as well as facial rejuvenation procedures including facelifts and eyelid surgery. Known for his attentive bedside manner and safe, individualized surgical approach, Dr. Paredes is committed to helping each patient achieve results that align with their unique goals. He is also fluent in Spanish.
