The procedure involves the use of tumescent fluid that contains saline, a local anesthetic, and epinephrine. The fluid is injected into the area where the liposuction will be performed to help control bleeding, numb the area, and make the removal of the fat easier. The tumescent fluid is then sucked out along with the loosened excess body fat in the area.
