La-Roche Posay(TM) Skin Care Program

Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic offers the unique La-Roche Posay Skin Care Program All patients are seen by a physician and treated by either Susan Owens or Julie Moss, our licensed estheticians, in a private, elegant setting. The La-Roche Posay Skin Care Program can be tailored for each individual and covers a wide range of skin types. It includes a three-step, in office, glycolic acid peel, called the MicroPeel®, together with a home care line of BioMedic products. The BioMedic MicroPeel® of La-Roche Posay is a gentle, non-surgical skin renewal procedure that may smooth fine lines and help even skin discoloration while simultaneously reducing the appearance of acne scars and environmental damage to skin.

Your initial consultation with a physician, an evaluation with an esthetiician, and your first peel is $400, which includes an initial set of home products. Follow-up peels are $75 per peel.  A total of eight peels are recommended with peels performed every two-three weeks. BOTOX Cosmetic®

An injection of a clinical formula of Botulinum Toxin Type A, known as BOTOX®, Cosmetic makes it possible to immobilize selected muscles of facial expression, smoothing deep expression lines and furrows, especially around the forehead and eye area. Jayne Mittan, Certified Physician's Assistant and BOTOX® Cosmetic specialist assists our physicians and sets aside every Friday as BOTOX® Cosmetic Day. BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments are priced at $450 per treatment. Please call for an appointment.

 

Restylane®

Restylane® is a dermal filler used to restore volume and fullness to moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.  Restylane® is a non-animal-based hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the human body, eliminating allergic reactions.  The treatment is simple and convenient, can be administered without pretesting, and results are almost instantaneous.  Restylane® results are long-lasting, giving skin a more youthful appearance for six months or longer.  Sessions include a consultation with a physician and treatment.

 

SkinCeuticals

The SkinCeuticals system is based on protecting healthy skin, correcting previous damage and preventing future damage.  Precisely concentrated formulas of vitamins are applied directly to the skin.  Once absorbed, they cannot be washed or rubbed off.   C + E specifically provides optimal protection from harmful UVA/UVB rays and has the ability to prevent the mutations in skin cells associated with the formation of skin cancer.    All patients are seen by a physician and treated by one of our licensed estheticians in a private setting.

 

Endermologie®

Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic offers the Endermologie® treatment. Endermologie®, designed in France, is a vacuum assisted massage technique. While it may reduce the appearance of cellulite or improve skin tone, it is used primarily by our licensed esthetician to complement and enhance the results of liposuction.


Trichlorocetic Acid (TCA) Peel

The TCA peel can correct uneven pigmentation and smoothes fine wrinkles. It can be tailored from a mild to moderate procedure, depending on the desired change in skin texture and has a recovery period of about one week.


Phenol Peel

This deep chemical peel can improve skin pigmentation and smooth out wrinkles, especially deep lines around the mouth. The recovery period is one to two weeks, though pinkness may persist for several weeks.


Laser Resurfacing

Laser Resurfacing, also known as laser peel, uses a laser resurfacing procedure to repair damaged areas of the skin resulting in a smoother complexion with minimized fine lines and wrinkles. The recovery period is one to two weeks, though pinkness may last longer.


Sclerotherapy

Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic offers sclerotherapy, a treatment that can improve unsightly spider veins. The procedure can be done on an out-patient basis and without anesthesia. Sessions include a consultation with a physician and treatment. Two or more sessions may be required for optimal results.
