Meet Board Certified, Tallahassee Cosmetic Surgeon Louis Hill Jr. M.D.

Born and raised in Tallahassee, cosmetic surgeon, Louis Hill, MD attended Leon High School and was a member of the Class of 1963. He pursued his pre-medical education at Davidson College near Charlotte, NC

For his cosmetic and reconstructive surgery training, Dr. Hill received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 1971. After completing his surgical internship at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, he returned to Atlanta to complete his general surgery residence and plastic surgery fellowship at Emory University. Dr. Hill was honored during his plastic surgery training at Emory University with the prestigious “Outstanding Resident” award. During his time at Emory University, Dr. Hill was involved in developing breast reconstruction techniques and both authored and coauthored several papers, articles, and book chapters on reconstructive procedures. Tallahassee cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Hill has practiced plastic and reconstructive surgery with Tallahassee Plastic Surgery Clinic since 1978.

Presently, Dr. Hill specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face and breasts, body sculpting, and lifts, and has a special interest in reconstruction following removal of skin cancer. He is thoroughly committed to educating and advising his patients on the most appropriate cosmetic or reconstructive procedures to achieve a realistic and desired outcome. With 30 years of experience, he has a long-standing reputation in the southeast. Dr. Hill’s practice has been built, in part, by combining his artistic abilities and surgical expertise to achieve outstanding results. Professionally, Dr. Hill is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of the prestigious American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Tallahassee cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Hill and his wife Calynne, a successful realtor, have two adult children, Pierson and Brittany, and enjoy travel, antiques, and art. They both feel fortunate to live and work in Tallahassee and are committed to giving back to the community including serving on community boards and committees. They are art collectors and have contributed collections to the Mary Brogan Museum of Art & Science, Florida State University, and Florida A&M University. Additionally, Dr. Hill spends his free time actively involved in his life long interest of archeology and recording the history of the North Florida area, with particular emphasis on the historic coastal town of Apalachicola.
